It is currently (July through December 2011) possible for individuals and organizations to approach the Secretary-General to endow and name a chair or school.

It is possible to name the chair after a company, for instance 'the Irish Airways Chair of Energy Studies' or as a memorial chair for an individual, such as the 'James T Irving Chair of Sustainable Development.'

Seven (7) chairs and 4 schools are currently open for endowment.
