The EUROSTATE University Institute is an affiliated institute and academic unit within EUCLID University. Its mission is to administer a specialized distance-learning program called Master of European Administration and Diplomacy (MEAD).

EUCLID itself is an intergovernmental organization / institution of higher learning chartered and accredited by treaty in 2008, thus strengthening the institutional foundations of the Euclid Consortium which was established in 2005.

EUROSTATE's academic cycle for the MEAD in based on open enrollment, first-come first-serve policy (distance education program only). National quotas may be fixed by EUCLID or the institute's administration on a quarterly and annual basis.

Options for local courses, seminars and partnerships (at third party institutions) are available.

EUCLID is an intergovernmental organization coupled with an international academic network known for its North-South and South-South bridge-building initiatives as well as its participation in various international conferences.



 

EUCLID's close association with the International Organization for Sustainable Development (IOSD) is a sign that the European focus of EUROSTATE will not ignore the Group's overall commitment to international cooperation and development.

Since its inception, first as an extension of the ULI of Brussels and later on as an intergovernmental institute inspired by ERA.int (the Academy of European Law in Luxembourg), Euclid/EUCLID has been committed to its European presence and vocation, establishing its official office in the European capital.

In his official circular (reference EP/2008/EUROSTATE), EUCLID Secretary General Syed Zahid Ali approved the constitution of the Institute and its academic programs.

The aims of the EUROSTATE University Institute are:

to prepare a new generation of leaders for careers in European governance;

to provide advanced education on European Affairs to non-EU students and professional;

to publish papers, articles and books of interest in this field.
