EUCLID (Euclid University) is an international educational framework with the status of intergovernmental organization and established by intergovermental Treaty / MOU in 2008.

Its primary mission is to train government staff and groups of special interest for participating states, but also to offer outstanding online / distance degree programs to the general public.

EUCLID is the outgrowth of the Euclid University Consortium which was established in 2005 by means of international agreements between various universities and administered by IOSD. However, the Consortium itself was not degree-granting but functioned as the official authorized extension of the member schools.

In order to ensure the international usefulness of the programs offered, especially for enrolled government staff, EUCLID was chartered and accredited as a free-standing intergovernmental institution and as member of the Euclid University Consortium.
